"Fashion" may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the term "commercial and industrial construction company," but for a few days in May, The Dewitt Tilton Group was quite fashionable as we sponsored the 8th Annual Wine Women and Shoes event benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire (RMHC). The event, held at the Kehoe Iron Works in downtown Savannah, raised more than $225,000 for the RMHC, all while having fun supporting an incredible cause. The RMHC focuses on creating, finding, and supporting programs that better the well-being of critically ill children and families. For these families, there is a large amount of stress and expenses of daily living in addition to being present and emotionally strong for their child. The Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home and is much more than a room and a hot meal. For many children and families, the Ronald McDonald House is the most important house they will ever visit. Aaron Cradduck, superintendent of the Dewitt Tilton Group, graciously volunteered as a "Shoe Guy," as part of the festivities, raising a record-setting $15,834. His hard work and determination earned him the coveted title "King of Sole!" As a father, Aaron knows the importance of being there for his little ones and was motivated to raise as much money as possible to improve the lives of these families in the Coastal Empire. Aaron’s campaign included events and raffles to raise awareness and support for the RMHC.

The sold-out fundraiser started with the Signature Luncheon and Fashion Show, sponsored by Woofgang Bakery & Grooming. This fabulous event included champagne and designer shopping at the Marketplace, followed by a luncheon, fashion show, and appearances on the runway by the Shoe Guys, including our own fashionable Aaron Cradduck! The main event included an evening of sip-sational wine tasting, culinary delights, raffles, exclusive shopping, an auction, and the charming Shoe Guys, all in support of the RMHC.
At Dewitt Tilton Group, our motto is “Enriching our community, one build at a time.” Being the title sponsor of this event was truly an enriching experience, as well as being a fantastic way to raise funds for such a crucial organization in Savannah.
